The History of Bux-Mont Awards

Sellersville, PA

Bux-Mont Awards was founded in 1991 with the objective of providing fine custom sports awards and engraving throughout the Bucks and Montgomery County areas. Opening the store out of his home, Greg Bencsik had to become an active member in the community to build his business. Through extensive attention to quality and service, the help of his engraver salesman, and a great response to his products, Bux-Mont Awards started to grow. Within 3 years Bux-Mont Awards was ready for a new home. This home was found less than a mile away from Bencsiks house the old Rockwild General Store. This was Bux-Mont's first real showroom and the customers continued to come.

In 1997, with the Rockwild closing due to a death in the family, Bencsik had to figure out the next direction of his business. He could buy the Rockwild building or find another store front to rent. The decision became an easy one when a showroom on Main St. in Sellersville became available. So Bencsik, his son, and a few of his sons friends packed up all the equipment, display fixtures, and samples and moved down the street into Sellersville. This move turned out to be a great one for Bux-Mont Awards as the exposure enabled more customers to find him. With this growth came the need for more help, and this led to the hiring of Bencsiks first full time employee not related to him, Debbie Koehler. Deb was hired to assist in trophy production part time and quickly moved into an engraving a sales role. With Gregs son Dan and his friend Brad Anderson helping to make trophies part time after school, Debbie easily made the transistion to the other areas of the business. Being a Sellersville resident, Koehlers vast knowledge of the community helped provide the business with a natural tie to the community that only encouraged more people to come in to see how Bux-Mont Awards could help them.

Most recently Debbie Koehler celebrated her 10th Annivesary with Bux-Mont Awards and was treated to lunch, though she didn't have to make her own award. Koehler has been an integral part of Bux-Mont Awards exciting and fresh showroom displays, our superior engraving quality, and a core component of our sales force. Deb continues to give her every effot towards ensuring the continued success and quality for Bux-Mont Awards customers.
